Saiun Godo

✦ Raised in one of the coastal villages not far from Radz-at-Han, where his mother put her skills as a swordswoman to use in the Radiant Host in order to help protect their new home.

✦ Picked up a skill for conjury from a young age, though he could find no one to give him any formal training in how to properly control and wield it until well into his teenage years.

✦ Took a great interest in alchemy during their time living there, because how could he not when he lived surrounded by it every day? As a youth he annoyed many an alchemist with his persistent questions and constant touching, though there were a few family friends that taught him what they could over the years.

✦ Eventually he met a very charming young Auri woman who traveled to Thavnair to learn of their dancing arts. Saiun was so taken by her and became such fast friends that when it came time for her to leave again, he decided to join her, and in doing so also met with and befriended the members of her Free Company, including his eventual husband-to-be.

✦ Their travels took them through much of Eorzea, and eventually to the forest nation of Gridania, where he spent some time living and mastering his conjury skills. And there, OUR STORY BEGINS...

✦ While his classes are White Mage and Dark Knight, he has experienced every class story, though he remains far less proficient in every other class and therefore doesn't use them.

✦ Has close ties with the Twin Adders, due to Gridania being much like a second home.

✦ Named his Chocobo "Bao" as a not-quite-joke about emergency food sources, before he grew genuinely fond of it.

✦ Has an Iron Stomach and will eat anything at least once, often even testing his own potions on himself.
